Are you really good enough? What have you done today to make the world a better place?

Unfortunately we prefer to close our eyes in front of the objectives of reality. Its easier not to think about the pain and sorrow that surround us. We all have personal problems and many things that trouble us, we refuse to use the possibility to make someone else a little bit happier. A Stranger perhaps. It doesn’t cost much….a coin or two instead your second coffee for the day, a good word or just a sincere smile.

There are too many people that have lost too much in their life, thinking of them I thank God for all that I possess and I feel responsibility to do good things.

Cause it is our job to create the future day after day. Our environment will be much better if we care.

Really good thought, but unfortunately as you say, people are way to busy to look around and to do sth that can change the future day. We have be rethink our ideals! Good thoughts Kate!

Charity equals disservice. And because of this - it is way too costly. There are things you can do, though. I am still trying to figure out what they are. But generally - give someone a fish - and they'll have a good meal - once. Teach someone *how* to fish, and they'd... well, smell of fish all the time and perhaps drown some stormy night out in the sea, but that's not the point (:

Charity is so.. easy. And so wrong. It is hard to be a God. And you know why? You can't change the way people *are*. You have to accept them for what they want to be. And by being generous to people in need, you silently agree to their conditions. Good conditions theirs ain't. It becomes a job, a way of making money. Those coins of yours have better be spent elsewhere. Or otherwise.

I would really like to say "yeah, I've figured that out, instead of giving people money, give them advice, talk to them, point them out to the social security workers", but thing is - once they reach street corners, they would normally be beyond saving.

So it is with regret that I say this: "..

.. no, actually I won't. I don't want to sound imposing or authoritative or in any way wiser than I give myself credit being. Which is - none the wiser (: I just wish things would be easier and we would find a way to feel what is right and how to *do* right things for the right people.
